Racing across a mesa might be one thing, but jumping over the rock's time-eroded gaps might be a risk too far. A chariot race spring down one side of a butte and back up the other is exactly the sort of lunacy these maniacs love.

Rockhopper is a track in MotorStorm. As the name suggests, the track is host to many large gap-jumps, as well as some immense, artificial banked corners suspended from the side of the mesa.
Festival Events[]
- "Four Wheels Good" - Buggies - "Ridges and mesa-tops, that's Rockhopper in a nutshell. Stay cool, stay on your line, jump straight and you might get around in one piece."
- "Jump!" - ATVs - "Two main routes and many lines. The ATV can cope with both, but one is better - up to you to figure out which."
- "High Jumpin' " - Bikes - "Controlling a vehicle in the air will help you avoid smashes and improve your racing line. The lighter the vehicle, the more responsive it is in the air. Simple!"
- "Peril" - Bikes - "In a race like this one, where everyone drives the same vehicle, you gotta use everything you know about the track: every line, every corner, every shortcut. The only advantages you have are better skills, more knowledge and bigger cojones."
- "Gold Diggin' " - Buggies - "Time once again to hit the 'hopper in a Buggy. You ain't as green this time, so you've no excuse for trying something so stoopid and dangerous. Apart from 'because it's fun'."
- "Walk The Plank" - Buggies - "You'd think the Buggy drivers would have love for one another - the bigger boys and girls always pick on them, so you'd think they'd at least play nicely together. Think again. Throw 12 of them together on Rockhopper and friendliness and love are just about the last things you'll see."
- "Trucked Out" - Racing Trucks - "Racing Trucks are the bulls of the MotorStorm scene - big, burly and angry as hell. All this talk about them seeing red is, frankly, a load of bull; they're actually colorblind. And absolutely no use when 13 of them gang up on you."
- "Playing To Win" - Bikes - "It was a guy called Johann Wolfgang von Goethe who said 'What does not kill me makes me stronger'. He obviously never tried Mama Cornnut's Blinding Moonshine. Unless that's what killed him. Rockhopper? On a Bike? Huh? Who said that?"

- "Up Jumped The Devil" - Rally Cars - "As the sun starts it's fall from grace towards the horizon, you're possessed by a need to do something really, really stupid, just to feel alive, just to laugh in the face of death. Like racing Rockhopper in a Rally Car."
Trivia[]
- In the Devil's Weekend race "Up Jumped The Devil", Rally Cars can be used for this track. While they are fast in speed, the rough jumps makes it difficult for them to maintain control after landing.
