When the festival first landed in the bay of the City, Big Dog took it onto himself to clear the way for everyone else to meet up somewhere safe. The race into the city was one of defiance against the forces keeping them out.
"Turn around IMMEDIATELY!" - DuskLite Soldier
Prologue is a point-to-point route featured in MotorStorm: Apocalypse. It is solely used as the first part of the each chapter of the Festival when the MotorStormers are entering the City.

In the Apocalypse Festival, there are 3 Prologue races, one for each character.

Destruction and Hazards[]
Tyler's Prologue[]
- DuskLite will fire at the player.
- There are two rows of flaming barrels that cannot be avoided. The player should ease on the boost here.
- A DuskLite missile will blast a hole to the subway below.
Big Dog's Prologue[]
- A DuskLite helicopter chases and fires at the player throughout the track.
- There are no electronic arrow signs anywhere on the track. The closest are crude arrow signs near the end pointing left.
- A missile blows a hole in the right barrier but moves trucks to block the road, forcing the player to exit the road and follow the canyon ridge.
- At the dock, two cranes are shot. They drop their loads and partly collapse.
Trivia[]
- This route, like Route 666 and Epilogue, cannot be selected in Wreckreation.
- Mash's Prologue is the only one to start with a countdown, opening credits, and finally tutorials for the game.
- Tyler's Prologue's start line is in an airplane. When the race begins, the plane will airdrop Tyler's car onto the beach.
- During Tyler's prologue, DuskLite set up a road block to keep the 'Stormers from the festival site and just in case, there is a ramp so that racers in front will get past without Tyler blowing it up.
- Big Dog's Prologue's race layout is just like in Route 666, except that it is set in the daytime.
- Like Route 666, This is conviently based on the Presidio District.
