The non-carbon edition from the Prestige Pack

The Mirage 401 is a Rally Car in MotorStorm: Apocalypse. It is available in its Carbon Edition form for those who pre-ordered the Carbon Pack from certain stores/sites, and as a non-carbon version within the Prestige Pack. Unlike its Carbon variant, the Prestige version of the Mirage 401 is fully customizable. Its appearance is inspired by modern hatchback-based Group A and Super 2000 rally cars.

How to Unlock

It is included with two other vehicles and is available for use immediately after the player purchases the Prestige Pack from the PlayStation store. Those who pre-ordered the game from certain retailers received a code for the Carbon edition.

Trivia

  • At first glimpse, the Mirage 401 looks like an enormous Mirage 101. However, its customisation options already give it a vastly different aesthetic from the 101's.
  • The 401 also appears in the RC Carnival Expansion Pack for MotorStorm RC.
  • This is one of the few vehicles in the MotorStorm series not to appear in any original game, only as DLC.
  • The 401 is one of the few vehicles in the MotorStorm series to have a digital tachometer, another being the Monarch Vestige-R.
  • The 401, along with other cars, make a brief cameo in WipEout 2048's intro sequence in the 2025 scene (However, it appears on a fast frame, so it's hard to see).
  • The 401 appears as a purchaseable premium PlayStation Network avatar.
  • The 401 is featured in the artwork of the "Rally Car" Festival Card (#111), although prior to DLC, it wasn't actually in the game.
