The Wakazashi Razor is a Bike that was added to MotorStorm as part of the Revenge Weekend DLC. It would later feature as one of the default bikes in MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, alongside the Wasabi Ventura.
Resemblance[]
The Razor is based on the modified Honda XR 500 that features in the 1980s American TV show Street Hawk[1].
Trivia[]
- The Razor is the only vehicle produced by Wakazashi in the entire series.
- It is one of three vehicle manufacturers that only produces a singular vehicle, the second being the Humbler Diablo and the third being the McQueen Adventure; the same three manufacturers are missing from the list of stickers in MotorStorm: Apocalypse.
- The Razor's engine sound in MotorStorm resembles a street bike, although its horn is identical to other bikes. Another thing to note is that letting off the throttle will cause a turbocharged whistle, a feature similar to Rally Cars.
- Like all other DLC vehicles from MotorStorm, it is one of the few vehicles in Pacific Rift that doesn't carry any liveries over from the original game.
- in Pacific Rift, Dmitri Molotov (red livery) and Jackson Stone (grey/orange livery) are AI Characters seen riding this vehicle.
- In a trailer for the Revenge Weekend DLC, Jed Ashforth, the Gameplay Manager for MotorStorm DLC at the time, mentions the Wakazashi Razor "Kinda looks a bit like a bike on an 80s American TV show."[2]
- In the same video, Ashforth refers to it as the "Wakashi" Razor.
