Fire, steam, lava, craters – Scorched is about as far away from the golden beaches and cool blue ocean as possible. The heat and dust make a real mess of your engine, and the lava will make a real mess of you. Once you’re out of the barren lands, you may think you’ve escaped unharmed, but the thick forested area on the back section of the track throws up plenty of its own unique hazards.

The volcano changes the whole island to an unrecognisable wasteland. Serene lakes boil away to pools of lava, thick woods are burnt to a crisp and lush fields of grass are reduced to dust.

Scorched is a Fire-Zone track in MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, and also one of the harder courses in the game. This track lives up to its Fire-Zone designation by featuring numerous encounters with lava flows and active volcanic craters.
About halfway there is a forest containing several paths which can confuse anyone. It is adviceable to practice this track and pick routes which you find the easiest. It is definitely a track that takes more getting used to than others.
Near the end of the track after the forest, there is a large pit with rocks. this is a dangerous route to go and should be only taken if driving a Monster Truck, there are two ways to either side of it that should be taken if you aren't in a monster truck. In the Volcanic version, this pit has a small pool of lava in the middle with small streams and lava bombs around it making it almost impossible to go through.

Whoa there, waitaminute... wasn't this track already a roasted volcanic hellhole, fraught with perilous lava pools and eyebrow-curling heat? Could it BE any more dangerous? Funny you should ask that. Here's Mother Nature with the punchline to the riddle 'what happens if the lava level rises?'

This track is also available in Volcanic version, but is only playable if you purchase the Adrenaline Expansion DLC. The track has been flooded with lava cascades and lava bombs that have been present during the race, making it a lethal obstacle if players are not careful.
