Highways are the backbone of America but this spine may as well belong to a crash test dummy, it's so mangled. Suffering under a sinkhole which collapsed the whole district into the earth, racers jump from on-ramp to off-ramp at this interchange so frequently that many get lost in its labyrinth.

Interstate is a track in MotorStorm: Apocalypse. It has four versions of it and as its name suggests, it contains large portions of highway, some of which has collapsed. On some races, there are large numbers of Crazies on the track who will fire guns and rockets at the player's vehicle.

Road Warriors[]

  • On the first lap, shortly after the left hairpin turn, the elevated highway collapses partly, with one side coming to rest to make the highway ground-accessible.
  • On the fourth lap, the elevated highway will collapse before the left hairpin turn.

High Way[]

  • Hostile presence.

Rubbernecking[]

  • A building partly collapses at the start of the second lap. Debris lands to the left of the main route near the beginning.
  • Helicopters lift away a ramp to an elevated road before the second lap.

The End is Nigh[]

  • The roofs of the auto shops will collapse on lap two.
  • On the final lap(or the third lap), a major earthquake(possibly "The Big One") will raise the city in the northern background and collapse the elevated highway.
  • During the earthquake, a crane will fall and block the road near the auto shops, forcing racers to go through or over the collapsed auto shops.
  • During the earthquake, if you don't take to the highway and turn toward the street and make a right, the street by the elevated highway will deform, rising up at certain points to act like ramps, giving the driver to get the Festival card.

Trivia[]

  • Some signs on the road indicate other tracks: Boardwalk , Downtown and Route 666.
  • On the track Road Warriors, it is possible to go so fast that on the roadway's collapse on the fourth lap, it is possible to hit the disaster and wreck before it has finished collapsing. The same can happen on Rubbernecking when the helicopters lift the ramp.
  • On the track The End is Nigh depending on which route you take, you will see either buildings collapse, or portions of highway and terrain collapse as tectonic lift raises the city.
  • During the event known as Road Warriors there is a sigh that is located near the auto shop after the first jump that says "Cargamento" which sounds like a play on Sacramento.
  • The End is Nigh is the only track playable on Wreckreation to feature "The Big One" earthquake.
  • InterState is based on Mission District in San Francisco
